What does WorldEdit do?
WorldEdit provides tools for massive editing of the Minecraft world: allocation of areas, copying, pasting, replacing blocks and working with schematics.
Block-based mass operations
WorldEdit works with dedicated areas: it allows you to replace materials, copy fragments of buildings and perform repetitive operations that would manually take hours. It is indispensable for the construction of a spawn, large arenas and test maps. The usual area allocation already provides the basis for different commands, so the accuracy of the boundaries is critical.
The price of a wrong team
Mass replacement affects many blocks at once and can load the server. For a complex operation, first create a small trial area, then save a backup of the world. It is dangerous to grant such rights to all players; share the access of builders and full administrators. Support for individual schema and command formats depends on the build.
Safe working arrangements
Before replacing an entire area, keep a diagram or backup. First, run the command on a small copy of the site and check the orientation, boundaries, and materials. When an operation involves hundreds of thousands of blocks, the consequences of a mistake become costly. Run hard changes outside of maximum hours online.
