What's TAB doing

TAB manages the representation of players in the Tab list, the display of prefixes, suffixes and additional information elements of the server.

Role mapping

On a multi-privilege project, players must quickly understand who is in front of them: a beginner, a moderator, or an administrator. TAB allows you to configure the name format and associated interface elements. Information often comes from rights systems and placeholders; the values displayed need to be aligned with real groups.

Network compatibility

Registration may depend on proxy, client versions, and other plugins that change the player list. You cannot confer control of the same field on multiple systems at the same time without prioritizing. The frequency of updates of placeholders also affects the load.

Checking after setup

Connect accounts with different groups, check the display in the lobby and on the game server. Make sure that long titles don’t break the list, and administrative prefixes aren’t issued randomly to regular players.
