What does placeholderTebex do?

placeholderTebex shows the Tebex store data inside Minecraft: the latest donors, the amounts collected, the ratings and the progress of the goals. It complements the payment system, but does not accept payment on its own.

What information is displayed

The plugin provides values for PlaceholderAPI, which can be displayed in scoreboards, holograms and messages. The latest purchase figures, donation amounts for the period, transaction statistics and progress of a given collection goal are available. Data is requested from Tebex and cached so that each interface update does not address the API. The actual accuracy and available fields depend on the store settings and the current version of the add-on.

Dependencies and security

Tebex and PlaceholderAPI are required to work. The plugin connects to an existing store using a private key: such a key cannot be shown to players and stored in public GitHub repositories. If the store accepts several currencies, you should not mindlessly summarize the values in different currencies and present the result as a single income. Configuration access rights should be limited to administrators.

An example for the main lobby

Create a neat hologram with the latest donor and a separate progress scoreboard of the monthly goal. Set up a reasonable refresh rate and backup text when Tebex is unavailable. Check that the display does not publish personal data of buyers, does not issue real payment details and does not interfere with the performance of the server.

Primary source: developer-page.

Installation

First install Tebex and PlaceholderAPI, then add placeholderTebex and set up a secure connection to the store.

Setting up

Output test placeholders in the scoreboard, limit the frequency of updates and do not publish the secret of the store API.

Specific commands and compatibility check with the documentation of the selected release.
