What does Maintenance do?

Maintenance includes maintenance mode on the Minecraft server and restricts the entry of ordinary players for the duration of maintenance.

Why do we need a regime?

When transferring the world, changing the kernel version or checking new plugins, it is important to avoid accidental connections. The service mode tells visitors that the server is temporarily closed, and individual participants may retain access for verification. This is more convenient than forcibly stopping a public entrance without explaining the reasons.

Rights of access

The list of authorized users and the roles of administrators must be configured in advance. An error in the permits can close the entrance even to the project team. It’s also important to check how the technical work message is displayed in the server list and client.

Before the update

Create a backup, turn on the maintenance mode and perform a trial login with a regular account. Once the migration is complete, make sure that the player rights are restored and the time limit is actually turned off.
