What does ItemEdit do?

ItemEdit is designed to edit game items by administrators. It allows you to customize the design and some properties of the subject without manually changing complex internal data.

What tasks do you solve

An RPG server may need items with separate names, descriptions, and visual characteristics. ItemEdit provides an interface for such operations within the capabilities of the selected version. Do not expect that changing the label will automatically add new mechanics: the actions of the subject must be supported by other systems.

Control of administrative rights

Changing objects is a potentially dangerous function. If you give it to all the players, you can break the economy or the rules of equipment. Identify a list of trusted roles, disallow dangerous settings, and keep a backup of examples of items used before upgrading to Minecraft.

Creation of subject matter

Prepare a test item, set a name and description, then check it in the inventory and trading menu. After restarting the server, make sure that the desired properties are preserved, and ordinary users are not authorized to execute administrative commands.
