What Geyser is doing.

Geyser connects Minecraft Bedrock and Java Edition protocols, allowing Bedrock players to access compatible Java servers.

Bedrock in the Java world

Geyser translates the networking between Minecraft Bedrock and Java so that players from supported Bedrock clients can join the Java server. This is especially important for communities where part of the audience plays on phones and part on PCs.

Different publications remain different

Translation of the protocol does not erase the technical differences of the publications. Menus, item interactions, and individual game mechanics may behave differently; customer updates require verification. For Bedrock users to log in, the issue of authorization and network access must also be resolved separately. In some configurations, Geyser works alongside Floodgate.

Crossplay testing

Connect the Bedrock client to the Java test server and consistently check login, movement, inventory, menu, and transition between worlds. If the server has its own authorization plugins or mini-games with non-standard packages, pay special attention to them. Crossplay requires full testing of game actions.
