What Dynmap does
Dynmap creates an interactive Minecraft server webmap with a world view from the browser.
The world as a web map
Dynmap shows the game world in the browser, not just through in-game coordinates. After rendering, players can view the area, look for a way to the settlement or show buildings to friends with a link to the map. The display and available layers depend on the settings.
What to think about.
The first render of a large card can take a significant amount of time and space on the disk. After the world changes, the tiles must be updated, otherwise the web map will lag behind reality. It is important for a public server to decide whether players’ locations and secret bases can be displayed. These settings concern not only performance, but also community privacy rules.
Public server map
The map allows you to show the location of cities and roads, as well as give beginners a guide to travel. In this case, the constant display of the coordinates of the players can reveal secret bases. Customize access to layers and markers with game mode in mind before placing a link to the map in an open directory.
