What is DonationAlertsAPI doing?
DonationAlertsAPI links DonationAlerts events to Minecraft. The plugin receives notifications via a connection to the service and allows you to use them in commands, messages, and other server add-ons.
How Donat events come about
The project uses a connection to DonationAlerts to receive new alerts. On the server, this turns into an event that can be accessed by built-in features or other plugins. For example, after the donate, you can output a message, start a sound, apply an effect, or execute a permitted command. The very fact of receiving a notification does not mean that the plugin processes payment with a bank card: DonationAlerts is responsible for the calculations.
Integration and compatibility
DonationAlertsAPI is focused on Paper/Purpur and provides software events to enhance responses to donates. Settings are set in configuration and through authorization commands. The capabilities of a particular release need to be checked against the original project; connecting additional plugins requires checking their access to events. Other people’s authorization keys and tokens must remain private.
Example of a safe reaction
Create a rule whereby a small donat outputs a message, and a larger one triggers a pre-selected visual effect. Test communication failure, notification queue, and repeated events. If the server is public, limit the frequency of the team and exclude actions that may give administrative privileges or disrupt the work of other players.
