What is DonatePay Integration?

DonatePay Integration receives events from DonatePay and executes pre-configured server commands. The plugin is designed to integrate donations with gaming events on Paper and Purpur.

From Payment to Action in the Game

In the configuration, the DonatePay token, the terms of the amounts and actions are set: the console command, message or change in the game state. Once a new donation is made, the integration checks the data against the rules and triggers the corresponding action. Payment is accepted by DonatePay; the Minecraft plugin only receives an event notification and does not store player bank details.

Features of the game scenario

This integration is convenient to use on a streaming server or in an event where viewers run small effects: an announcement in a chat, a change in the time of day or a pre-authorized command. Arbitrary input of console commands from the user side should not be allowed. Assign secure amounts limits, frequency of actions, and processing queues so that the donation stream doesn’t overload the server.

Customization and protection against repetitions

Once installed, specify the secret token in the server config, verify access rights to it, and assign several secure commands for the test. Check DonatePay’s recent events log with the Executed Teams log: the same notification should not run the reward again. Supported payment options and account status depend on the DonatePay service itself.
