Vortex SMP opens V2 on November 1st with phased access to worlds

Vortex SMP will open the V2 on Sunday, November 1 at 15:30. The full list of modifications to the version is published in the project’s Discord server: it can be found in the changelogs channel, in the entry “Mise à jour 2.0.0 • 01/11/2026”. There, players will be able to familiarize themselves in advance with the functions that will be included in the starting version.

The team warns that the V2 isn’t coming out with all the mechanics that were originally planned. A small group of volunteers works on the server in their free time from school, family and other affairs. The developers decided not to postpone the opening for several months for the sake of complete configuration and not to release the unfinished version in a hurry. Missing features will be added in separate updates after launch.

Among the areas already planned are changes related to spawners, teams, alliances and other systems. This means that the V2 launch will be the starting point for further server development, rather than the final set of mechanics. Separately, the team is preparing a wiki: it is in the works and will later appear on the Vortex SMP website.

The dimensions will be accessed gradually during the first week. The Nether will be available on November 4 and the End on November 8. This schedule is designed for players who will not be able to join in the first minutes after the opening, and for different rates of development of participants.

Simultaneously with V2, an in-game showcase appeared on the site. Its purpose is to help pay for hosting, as well as purchase plugins, textures and 3D models for the server. Minecraft remains a game, and everything you can buy in the store is also available for free through quests. Players are asked not to spend more on purchases than they can afford.

Open the Vortex SMP card on BlockRadar to copy IP play.vortex-smp.fr:25565 and check the current BR rating. It also dynamically displays the current status of the server, online and ping – make sure the server is available and log in.
