TalerSMP runs Minecraft 26.2 and accepts 26.3 players.

TalerSMP runs Minecraft Java Edition 26.2 Chaos Cubed. The server uses Paper 26.2 and Java 25, and players with clients 26.2 and 26.3 can connect with ViaVersion. Content added to version 26.3 does not appear on the server.

The decision to stay on 26.2 is linked to a set of server tools. When the technical configuration was determined in early October, GrimAC had not yet supported 26.3. The TalerSMP team decided not to run the server without anticheat. ViaVersion is installed directly on the Paper servers, not on a proxy, and translates protocols between versions for connecting players.

One notable feature of 26.2 was the sulfur caves. They are generated only in chunks created in this version or later. Survival-world TalerSMP was created on 26.2, so such caves can be found all over the world. On the surface, their location is given by sulfur springs, and under the ground, players will find reservoirs, sulfur blocks, cave spiders and sulfur cubes.

A sulfur cube is able to pick up the block transferred to it and change behavior depending on the material. For example, with wood, it moves faster and jumps higher, and with ice it slides. The block can be removed with scissors. A large cube is allowed to be caught with an empty bucket, and after death it divides into two small ones, which can be grown with mucus.

Special attention is required cube with TNT. This mob becomes a mobile explosive charge: the TNT inside can be activated by redstone or fire, after which the explosion occurs in six seconds. If the cube falls under a different detonation, the timer is shortened to between 0.75 and 3 seconds. The activated cube can no longer be taken into a bucket or released with scissors. On TalerSMP, the spawn has a 50 block radius protection zone, which also blocks TNT.

In 26.2, there is also a built-in friend system. It shows whether a friend is in the game and where: on the server, in Realm, in a single world or in a LAN session. The player can limit the visibility of their status or choose Hidden mode to be displayed offline. Experimental Vulkan rendering has nothing to do with the server: it is a client-side graphics setting.

Open the TalerSMP card on BlockRadar to copy the IP server, check its current status, online and ping. Dynamic BR rating is also displayed there - after checking the data, you can immediately select the server and enter the game.
