MyFTB to Close on October 23 After 14 Years

The MyFTB network has announced the completion of the project: the project will cease work on October 23, 2026. In his farewell address, the team leader summed up 14 years of community that began as a modpac and eventually grew into a large German network of modified Minecraft.

Over the years, tens of thousands of people have played on MyFTB servers alone and in teams. During the most active period, the network simultaneously hosted more than 400 players. The authors emphasize that for many participants, the project became not only a place to play: friends were found here, and some of the acquaintances were preserved outside Minecraft.

The decision to close is due to changes within the community and the team. Servers have become less crowded, there are fewer regular players, and supporting a large-scale project still requires time, work, and regular expenses. Fewer people are able and willing to take responsibility for the many tasks that were previously performed by the team, according to the administration.

The closure does not mean the disappearance of the entire community. MyFTB vanilla servers will continue to exist, as will the project’s Discord server. The team promised to announce further plans for these sites later. There will also be separate information about downloading game worlds and refunds for purchases, subscriptions, Premium and existing private servers.

In the message, the team thanked the players and former and current staff members: those who answered questions, solved problems, monitored servers, engaged in development, construction and organization. The worlds that players have been building for years will be saved for the last time before the network ends.

For MyFTB, it's the end of a big chapter, but not a renunciation of the memory of it. The administration invites participants to recall the joint bases, nightly conversations, unusual situations and people with whom they were brought together by the game. After October 23rd, the modified network will be history, and vanilla servers and Discord will remain the community’s point of contact.
