Mundo-Minecraft Prepares Server for Minecraft 26.3 Update

Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 Wilderness Bound officially launched 15 on September 2026, an update dedicated to travel, nature and construction, but for servers it means not only new content, but also the need to check the compatibility of the entire technical part. Mundo-Minecraft announced that they will not move the main server to 26.3 until the tests are completed.

Among the notable game novelties is the Dappled Forest biome, which is more often found next to cold Overworld biomes. It grows poplars: their leaves can have one of three colors. In the biome, poplar logs, fallen foliage, shelf mushrooms, red shrubs and fallen trees also appear. In this case, the seedling of the poplar will not necessarily grow into a tree of the same color as the original.

Researchers will be able to find abandoned camps in different biomes of the Overworld. These structures have variants suitable for the environment, and in some there are chests and barrels of prey. The camps are included in the updated researcher map system: these maps now use individual items instead of the previous mechanism with filled and renamed maps. When you download the old world, the existing maps will be converted to a new format.

For long hikes, pillows and straw beds are added. Pillows are available in all 16 play colors and allow the character to sit. A straw bed is created from bales of hay, allows you to sleep on the way without changing the main point of rebirth and disappears after sleep. It cannot be used to establish a rebirth point in the Nether and the Land. Builders will also receive steps and slabs of all colors of wool, as well as steps and slabs of colored concrete; concrete options are created in stone cutter.

In Observer mode, players can now interact with portals and move between dimensions, making it easier for moderators and administrators to work. Realms owners will be able to create up to five invitation codes, manage them and set expiration dates. In the client, frameless full screen mode has become standard, and switching full screen modes no longer requires a restart.

The Mundo-Minecraft team separately notes technical changes 26.3: updated generation of chunks, structure search and rendering, including Order-Independent Transparency. Due to the new formats, some data packs and resource packs for older versions may require revision. Before upgrading the main server, the compatibility of Paper, the operation of the plugins used, possible API errors, stability, as well as datapacks and settings will be checked. Special attention will be paid to plugins that use NMS or internal Minecraft APIs. Minecraft 26.3 server readiness will be announced separately.
