ImagineFun Opens Swiss Family Treehouse on October 9

ImagineFun continues a major redesign of Adventureland. The team has updated Tropical Imports, stores and most of the Jungle Cruise queue, except for the FastPass zone. The work affected one of the oldest parts of the server: after the removal of Tarzan’s Treehouse, problems with the scale of development became more noticeable. Reconstruction reached the Pirates of the Caribbean - the attraction has a new facade part and updated music in the queue, while the trip itself did not change. Adventureland also continues to replace the structures on the racks for armor display-entities, which should make the location more efficient in operation.

The main opening will be the Adventureland Swiss Family Treehouse. The location, which Liz has been building and Slinx has been working on effects and animations, will open on Friday, October 9. Before launching, a separate warp will appear on the server. When working on the territories, builders compare the location of objects on satellite and street maps, first mark the plan with lime wool, and then proceed to a full-fledged building.

Haunted Mansion Holiday also received a notable update. The team had to redesign the overlay system for the attraction from scratch: the old fast teams stopped working after the updates to the Minecraft version. New animations including Sally and Ugi Boogie were in line, and Liz prepared new models. The ballroom, parts of the cemetery and the stretched room were redesigned. Now the player is teleported inside this room to make the transition to the corridor look more natural, without the previous separate boot zone.

The new animation system is based on display entities and work in Blockbench. According to the team, it gives smoother movements and eliminates the problem when large models disappear when looking away due to the limitations of armor racks. In the future, they want to apply a similar approach to the transport of attractions, as well as synchronize entities with the sound of trips. However, the developers note that Bedrock is not yet too friendly to display entities.

In the past 30 days, ImagineFun has been visited by 29,003 unique players, of which 23,275 have come for the first time. The server recorded its highest simultaneous online peak since January 2021 in 30 days. Players spent 134,000 hours in the game and 9,789 people sent 464,000 chat messages. About one in five players have connected to Bedrock. During the maximum workload, the team even had to use spare equipment, which temporarily prevented the use of build and development servers.

The Halloween event, which began on October 1, is already gaining momentum. 3,839 players earned perfume for their teams, and a total of 169,738 spirits - mostly on rides. The event took 9,513 hours to complete, with players choosing Guardians and Haunted Mansion Holiday. The ride teams have been rotated 73 times, with Gus leading the race, followed by Ezra and Phineas. October also features a Spooky Fashion Show with a doubles round, two dance parties, Treat Trail and other character encounters. Suggestions for characters, Halloween items and interface improvements are accepted through the offer channel.

Among the upcoming improvements, the team mentioned redesigning the market with in-demand features, visual changes and amenities. Developers are also looking at a team to track progress to the next ghost rank and monthly stats on individual rides. The animatronics at Pinocchio could return before the end of the month, hampered by a region-tracking system used to reduce strain in Fantasyland. Retro-territories are also gradually being put in order, although they are not yet the main direction of work.
