HorizonFrontier Fixes Crafting, Furniture and Growth in Claimed Areas

HorizonFrontier has released a technical update affecting crafting, decorative blocks and the work of claims. The developers corrected cases where recipes with special items were not collected, furniture did not react to attempts to break it, and natural growth mechanics completely turned off in protected areas.

Again, four recipes are working, which use items with varying descriptions: the return amulet, the seal of the Abyss singularity, the silk widow elixir and the thaw compass. Previously, when placing such a component in the crafting grid, the recipe could not be recognized - in particular, the slot on the right remained empty. Now the server correctly takes these items into account when creating the right things.

Decorative furniture has also been repaired. Tables, lanterns, shelves, tapestries and candlesticks can again be broken with hands or tools: blocks show cracks, play sounds and fall out into the inventory. Before the correction, they did not react to the blows at all, although the problem did not manifest itself in creative mode.

In the land claims, the work of natural growth and spread has returned. Bamboo, kelp, vines, amethyst and chorus flower now grow even on the player's own plot. The turf next to the grass turns into an ordinary herbal block, and the ground can become covered with mycelium. Previously, the protection of the territory blocked any such spread, because of which the natural processes inside the land claim actually stopped.

The restriction for fire remains the same: a fire that arose outside the site will not spread inwards, and a fire in a private house should not destroy buildings. The authors specify that this is the only preserved blockage among natural mechanics – plant growth and the spread of associated blocks are again allowed.

Additionally, the server stopped accepting similar items instead of the required ingredients in the recipes. The ether crystal is no longer counted as glass, and the custom sword as iron. The check works in both directions: for items that the player puts in the grid, and for components specified by the recipe itself. Conventional recipes made of standard materials, including scissors, light unit and amethyst unit, did not change. If the desired item still causes questions, the composition of the recipe and the method of obtaining can be checked in the server directory.
