Globeworks is preparing an update to 26.3 and testing the mobile application
Globeworks is continuing its closed testing of the mobile application, adding a voting system and preparing to move servers to 26.3. In the coming weeks, players will expect several service windows with a total downtime of about 2–3 hours.
The Globeworks team is continuing to prepare for the 26.3 update. It has been working successfully in a test environment for some time now, and the changes to the main servers are expected to be rolled out gradually over the next week or two. The exact periods of work promise to publish on the server status page.
The transition will require several technical windows in the coming weeks. The team estimates the total downtime will be about two to three hours, but will be split into several maintenance stages. Simultaneously with the migration, the developers will update a number of plugins and security systems.
At the same time, Globeworks is testing its own mobile application. Now it is undergoing closed testing through Google Play: approved participants can download the app from the store and check its performance before public launch. This stage lasts for 14 days, after which the team expects to open the app to all players.
The app should make it easier to connect to Globeworks, especially users of PlayStation and Xbox consoles. According to the team, they won’t need to change their DNS settings to connect to Minecraft servers. Those wishing to join the closed test are invited to contact the project by e-mail specified in the original news.
A new voting plugin has also appeared on the server. Voices help increase the visibility of Globeworks and give players rewards for supporting the project. Guidelines on this system have been added to the player material.
In addition, the FAQ and game guides have been updated. They collect information about recently implemented systems, including creating support messages directly from the game. The team separately communicates a new overall blocking process for players who repeatedly interfere with others, and emphasizes the goal of maintaining a safe, fair and comfortable environment on the server.
