EarthMC Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary with Globe Badges
EarthMC performed 10 years 21 August 2026. In honor of the anniversary, all players who logged into the server on this day received a special Globe icon. The team also talked about saving the key formula of the project and future game updates.
On August 21, 2026, EarthMC celebrated its tenth anniversary. In honor of this date, the server gave a special award to everyone who entered the game on the anniversary day: players received a Globe badge. The team thanked the community for a decade that has seen a place for large-scale bases, long-lived states, cities and towns, conflicts and role stories.
The project has been in operation since 2016. During this time, millions of players joined it, and thousands of cities and countries were founded on the map. EarthMC has experienced three map resets - in 2018, 2022 and 2026. The creators note that the server became one of the projects that determined the popular format of Earth servers today.
The history of EarthMC was not just about competition. Along with war and drama, there were friendships. As one of the warmest memories, the team cites the story of two players who met on the server and got married in 2018. For EarthMC, it’s another reminder that life on a shared map isn’t just built around territories and resources.
Despite the growth of the project, its basic rules remained the same. Gold bars are used as a currency, Towny is responsible for managing the land, and instead of the standard world, players develop on a map of the Earth. According to the team, the stability of this foundation and the rare card resets that pass years between them have become an important part of the longevity of the server.
However, the developers do not consider the current formula final. Now they are separately working to make it easier for beginners to get used to, and experienced players have enough reasons to stay in the game. EarthMC plans to reveal details of new game updates related to veteran content soon.
The anniversary was an occasion to simultaneously look back on the path of the server and mark the next stage. EarthMC intends to keep the foundations familiar to players – the gold economy, the Towny and the map of the earth – while developing experiences for those who are just beginning their journey, and for those who have long built cities and countries.
