AsketMC Updates Temperature, Anvil and Newcomer Protection
AsketMC VCraft has released a series of October changes: revised temperature and repair rules, the anvil has the quality of the horn, and beginner players received temporary PvP protection. The server also adjusted the work of deaths, skills and bosses.
AsketMC VCraft continues to develop its hardcore survival-RPG world of Heimur, and in the October series of changes, the team focused on the survival, craft and protection of newcomers, systems that determine the pace of the first outings and the further development of the character.
19 changed the cost of anvil repair on the server in October, depending on the size of the item and paid for in metal. For example, a sword repair would require one ingot instead of four. On the same day, they refined the interaction of the equipment with temperature: leather is better against cold, and mail is better against heat. In caves, it maintains a level temperature from 6 to 9 °C.
The day before, each anvil had its own horn quality. This parameter complements the craft system, where the result depends not only on the materials, but also on the working conditions. New players have also added a PvP shield, which operates in the first hours after the start of the game: it gives time to settle into the world before clashing with other participants.
The 17 server released a wave of fixes in October. The blocks that the player put himself no longer count as skill experience. The fault bosses now don't have to wait for the player to leave the battlefield. These changes affect both character development and danger zone exploration.
In previous updates, AsketMC has made seasons three times longer, each lasting 24 days. The etheric amulet received the ability to cleanse from spoilage, and the shelters began to really protect from cold and heat. Skills were rewritten from scratch, hunting was allocated in a separate direction, and the trophies of monsters could be placed in the world in the form of holograms.
AsketMC VCraft works for Java and Bedrock clients of 1.7.10–1.21.11 versions at asketmc.com:25565. The server is built around complex survival: climate, hunger, seasons, crafts, exploration of the world and preparation for dangerous treks. The project rules state the absence of a donat and a pay-to-win mechanic.
