AsketMC updates repair, temperature and protection for newcomers

AsketMC VCraft has posted a series of October changes for its hardcore survival-RPG world.Centered with equipment repairs, temperature system, rookie protection and a few edits related to skill development, death and bosses.The server supports the Java and Bedrock crossovers on 1.7.10–1.21.11 clients and claims a donat-free model and pay-to-win.

On October 19, the repair of objects on the anvil changed: it now requires metal depending on the size of the thing. For a sword, for example, you need one ingot instead of four. On the same day, the team clarified the interaction of equipment with temperature: skin better protects against cold, mail - from heat, and in the caves the temperature remains flat from 6 to 9 ° C. Earlier, on October 18, each anvil had its own horn quality, and new players received a PvP shield for the first hours after entering the world.

The wave of corrections from October 17 affected the pumping and battles. Skills experience is no longer awarded for blocks that the player has placed himself. Fault bosses stopped waiting if the combatants left the scene. Also on the server there is a special approach to death: the things of the deceased are kept by the grave of the soul, and only its owner can take the soul from the place of death. Death in the fire was a complete death.

AsketMC builds gameplay around preparing for and mastering the world of Heimur. Body temperature, hunger and diet, changing seasons, dangerous weather and quality of terrain affect travel and mining. Mines can collapse, there are anomalies in the world, and the ether accumulates in dangerous areas. Players are asked to consider the climate, time of day and characteristics of the region, rather than rely on the same conditions at any point in the map.

The craft here is taken outside the usual workbench. Blacksmithing includes smelting and hardening, leather, cooking, alchemy and brewing are separately developed. The quality of the result depends on the skill, materials and working conditions, and the equipped workshop is more useful than a random workbench in the field. Skills grow from actions: hunting, fishing, forging, cooking, mining and research.

The dangers are not limited to nature. At night, a horde of dead can come to the settlements, and in the world there are invasions, fault bosses, strong inhabitants of the frontier and world enemies. Dozens of author mobs have their own 3D models, and the Nemesis system encourages a change in tactics: creatures are able to develop resistance to an often repeated type of damage. Beginners are helped by the aura of the keeper, and the first night passes softer to get used to serious trials.

The social part of the server is built around houses, farms, cities and guilds. Settlements are developed according to provinces, resources, supplies and economy, and trade is based on barter and real resources. Codex and Almanacs are provided for the study: they collect information about open biomes, creatures, anomalies, events and the current season. In the June 30 update, the seasons were made three times longer – 24 days each.
