What EMI does.
EMI is a catalog of recipes and items inside Minecraft. It helps to understand what the object is created from, where the material is used and how operations in complex modpaks are related.
Search and manufacturing chains
In modified assembly, recipes often include several stages: obtaining raw materials, processing and assembly of components. EMI allows you to search for items and view the available ways to obtain them. Its strong point is to present recipes in a comprehensible structure; actual recipes are provided by the game and established mods.
Differences from game changes
EMI does not add machines or determine the cost of crafting. If the recipe is not on the list, the reason may be a disabling recipe, an incompatible supplement, or a lack of integration. You can not consider a hint as a guarantee that the item is allowed on a particular server. The EMI version and supported downloaders need to be checked against the current release.
A practical route
Select the final item, find the necessary components, and consistently review their recipes. In a large technical assembly, this helps to pre-calculate materials before building an automatic line. When updating the modpac, re-check the recipes: authors can change them between versions.
