What does Dynamic FPS do?
Dynamic FPS reduces the use of computer resources when the Minecraft window is inactive, folded or the game is running in the background. During normal gameplay, the behavior may differ from the background.
Working in the background
If the player switches to a browser, Discord or work program, Minecraft continues to perform some of the graphics operations. Dynamic FPS reduces unnecessary loading under specified conditions and allows you to adjust the behavior when you lose focus. This is especially true on laptops and when working with multiple windows.
Settings and limitations
Reducing FPS in the background does not mean stopping the world: server logic and networking are governed by their own rules. Not all configurations are suitable for those who constantly record the game or keep it in the second window. Energy saving modes depend on the selected release.
How to test
Measure the load and temperature of your computer while Minecraft is active, then switch to another window. Compare the situation before and after installation. If screen recording or broadcasting is used, check to see if the background frame restriction is causing an undesirable effect.
